A new study from the Insurance Information Institute indicates that despite advances with the women’s movement, women are drastically under-valued when it comes to life insurance. A recent poll quoted from their website suggests that 43% percent of women do not have ANY life insurance. Others carry insignificant amounts.
These are disturbing figures that suggests that women’s roles in the lives of their families are still under-appreciated or that insurance companies have not done a good enough job of informing families of the value of the female breadwinner or work-at-home mom.
At Gant Insurance, these recent results bother us deeply.
