Manage your weight.
A healthy weight helps to keep your body healthy. Add more fruits and veggies to your diet. The healthier you eat, the better your body feels.
Reduce your salt intake.
Too much of anything isn’t good for you. Too much sodium is known to increase your blood pressure. While high blood pressure may not seem like a big deal, it can affect your heart health. People with high blood pressure are much more likely to have other heart issues such as a heart attack or stroke.
Exercise more.
Move over leg day! It’s time to make time for heart day. Your heart is a muscle and needs to be strengthened to stay healthy. Be sure to exercise most days of the week for at least thirty minutes per day.
Reduce your alcohol intake.
Too much alcohol can lead to heart disease. If you drink alcohol, be sure to do so in moderation. The average adult male should have no more than two drinks per day, while the average adult female should drink no more than one drink per day.
